Dr. Alan Breslin Axelroth

DR. ALAN BRESLIN AXELROTH, age 71 of Inverness, passed away on September 24, 2018 at St. Martin’s in the Pines in Birmingham, AL. He was born in New Jersey on March 30, 1947; the son of the late Warren Axelroth and the late Lyn Hiller Axelroth.

Dr. Axelroth was a former foot surgeon who practiced in the Jasper area for many years. He also served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by: Wife, Susan Axelroth of Inverness; Son, Brett Axelroth of New Orleans, LA; Daughter, Ali Axelroth of Birmingham; Son, Michael DeMarco of Inverness; Grandchildren, Anthony Christopher DeMarco and Jackson Bryant DeMarco of Inverness; Brother, Sandy (Ilene) Axelroth of Chicago, IL; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by: Father, Warren Axelroth; Mother, Lyn Hiller Axelroth; Sister, Joy Studin; Grandparents, Abraham and Bertha Axelroth.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 9:30am in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL.

There will be no visitation.
