JAMES MONROE LOVELADY, JR., age 85 of Maplesville, passed away on November 5, 2018 at Bibb Medical Center Nursing Home in Centreville, AL. He was born in Chilton County on August 12, 1933; the son of the late James Monroe Lovelady, Sr. and the late Louvella Crocker Lovelady.
He was a former truck driver.
He is survived by: Wife, Janie Lovelady of Maplesville; Daughter, Mattie (Raymond) Abbott of Maplesville; Son, James A. (Jamie) Lovelady of Maplesville; Son, William (Alaina) Lovelady of Maplesville; Son, Tommy (Teresa) Lovelady of Limestone, TN; Son, James Dustin (Haley) Cleckler of Maplesville; 27 Grandchildren; 41 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren; and sister, Elaine Akins of Jasper.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 5-7pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 11:00am from the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church with Rev. Roland Hazel and Rev. Tony Reynolds officiating.
The body will be in state one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will follow in the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Cemetery in Plantersville, AL.
