Ronald Wayne "Ronnie" Brantley

RONALD WAYNE “RONNIE” BRANTLEY, age 70 of the Union Grove Community in Jemison, passed away on June 25, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on February 13, 1949; the son of the late William C. Brantley and the late Hilda Pate Brantley.

He was a former electrician. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Ronnie loved his family more than anything else. He was a faithful member of the Union Grove Baptist Church where he loved to attend.

He is survived by: Wife, Donna Brantley of Jemison; Daughter, Lisa (Matt) Bass of Jemison; Daughter, Amanda Brantley of Jemison; Son, Chris Brantley of Jemison; 7 Grandchildren; 1 Great-Grandchild; Sister, Marilyn (Oscar) Hayes of Randolph; Sister, Debbie (Melvin) Porter of Thorsby; Brother, Ken (Mary) Brantley of Thorsby; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by: Father, William C. Brantley; Mother, Hilda Brantley; and Brother, Boyd Brantley.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 5-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11:00am from Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Wren and Rev. Johnny Bowman officiating.

The body will be in state one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial with military honors will follow in the Union Grove Community Cemetery in Jemison, AL.
