Shorty Baker

SHORTY BAKER, age 66 of Jemison, passed away on December 17, 2018. He was born on February 21, 1952, son of the late Auklee Baker and the late Minnie Cleckley Baker. 

He was a truck driver.

He is survived by his children, Shane Jones of Chattanooga, TN, and April Wallace of Thorsby; Grandchildren, Jordan (Bradley) Edwards of Jemison, Harley Edwards of Thorsby, and Dylan Edwards of Thorsby; Great-grandchildren, Chevy Edwards of Jemison and Skylynn Bracknell of Jemison; and Siblings, Nancy Lockhart of Clanton, Charles Baker of Clanton, Bill Baker of Clanton, Shirley Coburn of Clanton, Betty Easterling of Clanton, and Merale Smith of Demopolis.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Auklee and Minnie Baker, and his wife, Karen Ann Lowery Baker.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 from the Ellison Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jason Acreman and Rev. Kenny Baker officiating.

Burial will follow in the Thorsby Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
