Bernice (Cleckler) Brown

BERNICE CLECKLER BROWN, age 64 of Clanton, passed away on January 26, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Homewood, AL. She was born in Chilton County on January 31, 1955; the daughter of the late Leroy Cleckler and the late Leedie Coggins Cleckler.

Bernice loved spending time with her grandson and great-grandson, along with any children who came to visit her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her late daughter, Tracy.

She is survived by: Grandson, Chase (Brianna) Avery of Jemison; Great-Grandson, Trevor Avery of Jemison; Brothers: Gary Cleckler of Clanton, Randall (Vickie) Cleckler of Clanton, and Charles (Jane) Cleckler of Clanton; and Sisters: Elaine (Jimmy) Watts of Clanton; Mary Smith of Clanton, and Lois Street of Clanton.

She is preceded in death by: Daughter, Tracy Pairrett; Parents, Leroy and Leedie Cleckler; Brother, William Cleckler; and Sister-in-Law, Rita Cleckler.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 5-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 2:00pm from Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church with Rev. Andrew Howell officiating.

The body will be in state one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
