Betty Jo (Benton) Mims

BETTY JO (BENTON) MIMS, age 84 of Verbena, passed away on July 2, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Pike County, AL on March 23, 1937; the daughter of the late Charlie D. Benton and the late Johnny Victoria Freeman Benton.

She was a former home health aid with the State of Alabama Department of Public Health.

She is survived by: Son, Johnny Kyle (Sue) Mims of LaPine; Son, Mickey Lindell Mims of Verbena; 8 Grandchildren; Numerous Great-Grandchildren; and Brother, Obie Folsom Benton of Highland Home.

She is preceded in death by: Husband, Johnny Ray Mims; and Grandson, Christopher Wayne Sullivan Mims.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 11:00am in the Chestnut Creek Cemetery in Verbena, AL.

There will be no visitation, everyone please meet at the cemetery for the service.
