Obituary
Cindy Layton Sorrow, 60, of Clanton, Ala. went home to be with the Lord in the late hours of Wednesday, March, 22, 2023. In her final moments, Cindy was surrounded by family and loved ones.
Known for her generous spirit and unrelenting positivity, Cindy will be dearly missed by those that knew her. Her family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to the lives of others, instead of her untimely passing.
She is survived by: Husband, Glenn L. Sorrow of Clanton; Daughter, Christen Nicole (Nicholas) Noah of Clanton; Stepdaughter, Kimberly Ann Sorrow of Clanton; Stepdaughter, Tyler Lyn Sorrow (Jeremy Elliot Sachs) of San Francisco, California; Grandson, Layton Nash Noah of Clanton; Granddaughter, Haley Smitherman of Clanton; Granddaughter Alyssa Davenport of Clanton; Grandson, Gage Davenport of Clanton; Mother, Ann Jackson Green of Clanton; Brother, Rick (Leslie) Layton of Little Rock, Arkansas; Brother, Timothy Layton of Columbiana; Aunt, Faye Layton of Mt. Olive; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by: Father, Richard E. Layton and Grandmother, Inez Snell Layton.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor, at Mulberry Baptist Church in Maplesville, Sunday, March, 26, 2023 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to her beloved church, Mulberry Baptist.
