DONALD “DON” EUGENE HOWZE, age 63 of Jemison, passed away on April 18, 2021 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, AL. He was born in Chilton County on August 6, 1957; the son of the late Glenwood Howze and Dean Cory Howze.
Don was known by his family and friends as “Beaver.” Beaver was retired from ABC Rail in Calera and also from the Shelby County Board of Education as a maintenance technician.
Left behind to cherish his memory are: Loving Wife of 39 years, Diane Howze; Son, Tracey Eugene Howze and his wife Stephanie Howze; Grandsons, Daniel Eugene Howze and Elijah Wayne Howze; Mother, Dean Howze; Brother, Tony Howze and his wife Sam Howze; Brother, Kevin Howze and his wife Michelle Howze; Father and Mother-in-Law, John and Betty Glasscock; Sister-in-Law, Debra McCord; Brother and Sister-in-Law, James and Nonie Glasscock; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Beaver was preceded in death by his Father, Glenwood Howze.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 3:00pm from the Shelby Memory Gardens Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Calera with Rev. Jeremy Jones officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1:30pm until service time.
Burial will follow in the Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera, AL.
