Elvin Ellison

ELVIN ELLISON, age 89 of Clanton, passed away on November 12, 2020 in Huntsville.  He was born on August 7, 1931; the son of the late Ellis Ellison and the late Louiser Willis Ellison.

He was a former teletype operator with Western Union, and was known to everyone as the Peanut Brittle Man.

He is survived by: Son,  Richard Ellison of Clanton;  Son, Terry Ellison of Huntsville; Daughter, Karen (Terry) Teal of Blountsville; 5 Grandchildren, Madison, Andrew, Caroline, Jeremy, Mackenzie; Sister, Louise George of Clanton; and a host Nieces and Nephews.

He is preceded in death by: Wife, Shirley Culp Ellison and Parents, Ellis and Louiser Willis Ellison.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Home, with Rev. Tim Scott officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
