James Roscoe Burke

JAMES ROSCOE BURKE, age 90 of Verbena, passed away on April 16, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Clio, AL on April 7, 1931; the son of the late James Benjamin Burke and the late Pura Mae Ketchum Burke.

He was a former service representative with General Motors. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed working on car engines and will be remembered for the love he had for his family.

He is survived by: Son, Ben Burke of Natchez, MS; Son, K.T. Burke of Verbena; 4 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; and Brother, Joe Burke of Dothan.

He is preceded in death by: Wife, Donna R. Burke.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 1:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Jason Green officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Crestview Memorial Gardens in Adamsville, AL.
