Jay Dee Chambers

JAY DEE CHAMBERS, age 67 of Jemison, AL, passed away on February 2, 2021 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL. He was born in Lake Providence, LA on July 31, 1953; the son of the late James Delbert Chambers, Jr. and the late Thelma Mae Whittington Chambers.

He was a former planner and scheduler with Sasol. He also honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by: Daughter, Tara Wilson of Greenwood, IN; Grandchildren, Alexandra and Derek Wilson of Greenwood, IN; Sister, Nancy (Gary) Parker of Lake Providence, LA; Sister, Debbie Lyles of Lake Charles, LA; 3 Nephews; and 1 Niece.

He is preceded in death by: Wife, Cindy Chambers; and Parents, James and Thelma Chambers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Rex Kent officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

A family interment service with military honors will follow in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL.

The family request in lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to your local Down Syndrome Association.
