Marion Ray Michael

MARION RAY MICHAEL, age 96 of Montevallo, passed away peacefully at his home on May 6, 2023. He was born in Linston, IN on July 4, 1926; the son of the late Ernest Michael and the late Florence White Michael.

Ray was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 72 years. He lived in many places while working for Gulf Oil before settling in the Birmingham area. He will be missed greatly by many but we take comfort knowing that he is reunited with Cuddles.

He is survived by: Daughter, Peggy Housley; Son, David Michael; Son, Tom (Jill) Michael; 8 Grandchildren; and 11Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Joyce “Cuddles” Michael; Daughter-in-Law, Laura Michael; Brothers: Paul Michael, Fred Michael, and Ralph Michael; and Sister, Ruth Pope.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 11:00am in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens – South in Hoover, AL with South Shelby Masonic Lodge No. 140 officiating.
