Myra Nell (Ellison) Gardiner

MYRA NELL GARDINER, age 85 of Clanton, met her Heavenly Father on July 25, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Chilton County on January 27, 1936; the daughter of the late Archie Thomas Ellison and the late Luellin Porter Ellison.

Nell was an active member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She loved her flowers gardens and working in her yards thus, you would always find her outside. She was an amazing and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend that always went the extra mile to help others. She was loved by her family, friends, and community and she will be missed incredibly.

She is survived by: Daughter, Teresa Selman; Daughter, Cathy Selman; Beloved Grandchildren: Wendy (Chad) Belcher, Jason Brasher, Joseph Downing, and Coty (Derek) Quinn; 13 beautiful Great Grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and many life-long friends.

She is preceded in death by: Her wonderful Husband, Bill Gardiner; Parents, Archie Thomas “Dago” and Luellin Ellison; Sister, Toni Ellison Fowler; Sister, Inez Porter; and Brother, Tom Ellison.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 6-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

A celebration of her life will be held at graveside on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 10:00am in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Cemetery in Jemison, AL with Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.
