Rachel Ruvon (Wilson) Parker

RACHEL RUVON (WILSON) PARKER, age 61 of Clanton, passed away on August 3, 2022 at Compassus Hospice in Birmingham, AL. She was born in Chilton County on May 14, 1961; the daughter of the late Lawrence Wilson and the late Francis Carol Duncan Kelly.

Rachel was a former CNA with Southern Care Hospice in Clanton. She loved and cared for all of her patients dearly, and in turn was loved by the families she served. Her biggest love in life was that of her family.

She is survived by: Husband, Ralph Parker of Clanton; Daughter, Renee (Dustin) May of Tuscaloosa; Son, Brandon (Rebekka) Parker of Virginia; Son, Bradley (Jade) Parker of Maryland; and Grandchildren: Alyssa Parker, Austin Parker, Kennedy Parker, Oakly May, Dozer May, and Makinly Parker.

She is preceded in death by: Father, Lawrence Wilson; Mother, Francis Kelly; Brother, Ray Kelly; and Brother, Robert “Smoky” Wilson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11:00am from Old Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Edward Wilson officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Old Macedonia Baptist Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
