THOMAS EUGENE “TOMMY” WYATT, JR., age 75 of Clanton, passed away on January 31, 2021 at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery, AL. He was born in Chilton County on July 21, 1945; the son of the late Thomas Eugene Wyatt, Sr. and the late Alma Foshee Wyatt.
He was a former heavy equipment operator with the Chilton County Road Department. Tommy was a honest and simple man. He enjoyed time on his farm taking care of his animals and working on the tractor. He loved life and making those around him happy. He will be best remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by: Son, Thomas Eugene Wyatt III of Prattville; Daughter, Tamara Wyatt Seamon of Prattville; Son, Christopher Brian Wyatt of Clanton; Son, Shannon Dale Wyatt of Gardendale; Daughter, Lori Wyatt Farris of Clanton; and 9 Grandchildren.
He is joined in death by his wife, Francis Lynn (Thrash) Wyatt. He is preceded in death by his infant son, James Dever “Jim” Wyatt.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 2:00pm from the West End Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Lightsey and Rev. James Watkins officiating.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church.
A private family interment will be held in the Clanton City Cemetery in Clanton, AL.
The family respectfully ask that COVID-19 protocols in regards to social distancing be observed at all services.
The family request in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the West End Baptist Church Building Fund.
